About the Company
We are a newly established and ambitious maritime company, operating a growing fleet
of dry bulk carriers. With strong ownership and a vision for long-term expansion, we are
seeking a highly experienced Chartering Manager to lead our commercial activities,
negotiate fixtures, and maximize the employment and profitability of our vessels.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead the company’s chartering function, covering time charter, voyage charter, and COA contracts.
- Negotiate and conclude fixtures with charterers, brokers, and operators.
- Develop and maintain a strong network of charterers and brokers across the dry bulk sector.
- Monitor and analyze the freight market (Supramax, Panamax) to identify opportunities.
- Prepare voyage estimates, freight indications, and profitability analyses.
- Ensure charter party terms are favorable and reflect company interests.
- Cooperate with the Operations and Technical Departments for smooth post-fixture execution.
- Provide management with market intelligence, commercial strategy, and performance reports.
- Represent the company in industry forums, client meetings, and negotiations.
Minimum Requirements
- University degree in Shipping, Maritime Studies, Economics, or Business.
- Minimum 10 years of proven in-house experience as Senior Chartering Manager, or minimum 10 years’ experience as a successful Dry Bulk Chartering Broker with a strong fixing track record.
- Deep knowledge of dry bulk freight markets, charter party terms, and voyage economics.
- Established network of charterers and brokers.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Fluent in English and Greek (spoken & written); additional languages considered an asset.
- Results-driven, entrepreneurial mindset, able to work independently and deliver under pressure.
