With strong ownership and a vision for growth in the global shipping industry, we are seeking an experienced and highly qualified Technical Director to lead our Technical Department and oversee the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation of our vessels.<\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Duties &amp; Responsibilities<\/h4>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Technical Department.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Overall responsibility for the technical performance, seaworthiness, and maintenance of the company\u2019s fleet.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supervise and guide Superintendents, Chief Engineers, and shore-based technical staff.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Plan and control dry-dockings, major repairs, and retrofitting projects, ensuring time and budget compliance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitor fleet PMS (Planned Maintenance System) and ensure compliance with Class, Flag, ISM Code, MARPOL, SOLAS, and all international regulations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manage technical budgets, monitor OPEX and CAPEX, and report to management on cost control and fleet performance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Oversee the procurement of spare parts, consumables, and technical stores, ensuring cost efficiency and reliability.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conduct technical audits, incident investigations, and root cause analyses. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Liaise closely with Masters, Chief Engineers, Classification Societies, Flag Administrations, and external stakeholders.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contribute to the company\u2019s strategic planning regarding fleet expansion, new technologies, and sustainability initiatives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Minimum Requirements<\/h4>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>University degree in Marine Engineering or related field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Holder of STCW Chief Engineer (III\/2) Unlimited CoC or equivalent background.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Minimum 10 years\u2019 experience in technical ship management, with at least 5 years in a senior management role (e.g. Technical Manager, Fleet Manager, or Superintendent).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proven experience in dry bulk shipping and handling dry-dockings, major repairs, and class surveys.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong leadership, decision-making, and team management skills. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Solid understanding of international maritime regulations, environmental compliance, and safety standards.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fluency in English and Greek (spoken &amp; written) with excellent reporting and communication skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">We Offer<\/h4>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Full employment contract with long-term career stability.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Senior management position within a newly established dry bulk fleet maritime company.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attractive remuneration package aligned with experience and industry standards. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Opportunity to play a key role in shaping the company\u2019s technical strategy and fleet development.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Professional working environment with career progression opportunities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><strong>Application<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>Qualified candidates are invited to submit their CV and cover letter to:<\/p>\n\n<p><a href=\"mailto:hr@dice-maritime.com\">hr@dice-maritime.com<\/a><\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Subject line: Application \u2013 Technical Director<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false},"job-cat":[4],"class_list":["post-308","job","type-job","status-publish","hentry","job-cat-shore-based"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/dice-maritime.com\/el\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/job\/308","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/dice-maritime.com\/el\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/job"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/dice-maritime.com\/el\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/job"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/dice-maritime.com\/el\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=308"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"job-cat","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/dice-maritime.com\/el\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/job-cat?post=308"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
