About the Company

We are a newly established and expanding dry bulk fleet maritime company, supported by strong ownership and a vision for sustainable growth in the global shipping market. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Full responsibility for the operation, maintenance, and performance of the vessel’s main propulsion and auxiliary machinery, ensuring safety and efficiency at all times.
  • Leadership of the Engine Department, assigning duties, training, and monitoring performance of engineers and ratings.
  • Oversee the Planned Maintenance System (PMS), spare parts inventory and requisitioning of technical stores.
  • Ensure compliance with ISM Code, MARPOL, SOLAS, MLC, and Flag State regulations concerning machinery operations and pollution prevention.
  • Maintain accurate records: Engine Logbooks, Oil Record Book (ORB), planned maintenance documentation, and technical reports.
  • Monitor fuel and lube oil consumption, ensuring cost-efficient operations and environmental compliance.
  • Conduct and supervise engine room safety drills, risk assessments, and emergency preparedness exercises.
  • Liaise with the Master and Offices’ Technical Department regarding technical matters and voyage performance.

Minimum Requirements

  • Valid STCW CoC III/2 Chief Engineer Officer
  • Valid STCW endorsements: GMDSS GOC, Advanced Firefighting, PSCRB, Medical Care, ERM, High Voltage, etc.
  • Minimum 5 years’ proven sea service as Chief Engineer on Dry Bulk Carriers (geared or gearless).
  • In-depth knowledge of propulsion plants, auxiliary systems, PMS, ballast water treatment, and environmental compliance equipment.
  • Strong leadership and organizational abilities, with proven experience managing multinational crews.
  • Fluent in English, with excellent communication and reporting skills.
